Program Description :

Gilbane provides a scholarship in the amount of $5,000 after students have successfully completed a paid summer internship. The additional participating institutions are the following: Alabama A & M University, Florida A & M University, Hampton University, Jackson State University, Morgan State University, North Carolina A & T State University, Southern University and Tennessee State University.

The Program provides educational opportunities for African Americans, American Indians/Alaskan Natives, Asian Pacific Islander Americans, Hispanic Americans through scholarships of up to $15,000 & 8 to 10 week summer internships at Marathon operations in various U.S. locations. If you are a student at a UNCF member college or university it is highly recommended that you complete a UNCF General Scholarship application. The UNCF General Scholarship application will allow you access to the over 400 different scholarship programs. UNCF awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending UNCF member colleges and universities. To be considered for a UNCF scholarship, you must meet certain basic eligibility requirements: -Students must be enrolled full-time in a UNCF member college or university -Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and -Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Program Description :

Employees of Jefferson County Public Schools (Louisville) are offering multiple, $20,000 scholarships to graduating seniors, $5,000 award to be disbursed for four years of post-secondary education. Eligible students must graduate from Jefferson County Public Schools in Louisville, KY by July 1, 2009 and attend a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Special consideration will be made for students majoring in education, and first member of family to attend a post-secondary school.
