The Farmers Insurance Group Emerging Scholars Program, administered by the UNCF, will provide financial assistance to college students who are enrolled full-time in an accredited United Negro College Fund (UNCF) institution or a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) and who are U.S. citizens and CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS. The Farmers Insurance Group Emerging Scholars Program awards will be used to help defray expenses for tuition, room and board for the 2009-10 academic year. Farmers will award students with a need-based scholarship in the amount of $7,500 for the 2009-2010 academic year.
