Nestlé Very Best Adopt-A-School Scholarship

Nestlé’s commitment to education is strongest in the employee-driven Adopt-A-School program where every Nestlé facility taps the strengths of its "Very Best Volunteers" to contribute to the raising of the next generation of educated, responsible and caring adults. Nestlé employees around the country embrace children in their respective communities by serving as direct role models through a variety of activities, including tutoring, mentoring, reading, field trips, book fairs and the "pen friends" program. From writing letters to giving a classroom presentation, Nestlé employees offer real-life learning experiences, creating a genuine interest in education. The UNCF/ Nestlé Very Best Adopt-A-School Scholarship is open to all students who were in the 3rd through 6th grade during the 1998-99 school year, at one of the Nestle Adopt-A-Schools: The winners will receive a $4,000 annual scholarship if they attend a UNCF member institution. If they attend any other college or university, they will receive a $3,000 annual scholarship. This scholarship will be renewable for up to four years if they attend school full time and maintain a 2.5 GPA.
