UNCF Columbus Walk for Education

Saturday, October 04, 2014
Go to the UNCF Columbus Area Office for more details.
About This Event:

The event was developed in 1983 to engage the Columbus community in raising money for UNCF to support not only our 37 member historically black colleges and universities, (HBCU's) but the over 1,200 students attending college on a UNCF scholarship from Columbus, Ohio. UNCF is a beacon of hope to those young people who need assistance financing their higher education goals and currently has scholars earning their degrees at not only HBCU's but also The Ohio State University, Miami University, Harvard and MIT to name a few.

Numerous walkers and runners who all share one common goal, to connect deserving young people to higher education participate each year. This year we will walk, (or run) on a new private Alum Creek running path. We highly encourage runners to join us and share in our mission, (this is a timed run and medals will be awarded to our top athletes).

Those interested in participating are encouraged to register individually or join a walk team. Get involved in this peer to peer fundraising campaign and impact a generation of hard working young people today! For more information please contact the Columbus UNCF office at (614) 221-5309.

Register to walk or run today, "because a mind is a terrible thing to waste!"

Wolfe Park in Columbus, Ohio  will be the location of this event.
