Erika White is a fitness enthusiast and motivator that developed her passion for fitness while working to develop a healthier lifestyle for both she and her family. Her fitness journey, as a wife and mother, began in her own struggle with obesity, weighing 240 pounds and wearing a size 22. That journey led her through all the stereotypes, myths, and struggles that many who are overweight continue to battle their entire life.
“Being fat, which is what I was, enabled me to fully understand not just what it looks like to be fat, but what it feels like; from the doubt, depression, relapses, & frustration in attempting to make even the simplest change to your lifestyle. It is easy to say I should have never let myself get to this point; BUT, easy won’t get you results, change will!”
Along her journey, while maintaining an over 70-pound weight loss, Erika decided to become a certified instructor to begin to help other from ground zero. She initially created the Fitzone brand to motivate and teach classes designed from her own weight loss experiences. Today, the Fitzone Brand has expanded to television appearances, public speaking, community partnerships, and most purposefully, working to improve the health and health access to those in low income areas.
Erika’s Fitzone brand is focused on continuing to help women & families achieve the goal of overall health and positive living. Her mantra is: Educate, Motivate, Demonstrate! She is honored to be recognized in her community as the “fitness lady” and having the opportunity to share her inspiring message with so many others
