Ninjia Miles

Ninjia (Nye-Juh) Miles is a Louisiana native with a passion for supporting Black and Brown communities.

As Area Development Director, Ninjia is responsible for leading the UNCF Indiana annual campaign by engaging donors, community partners, and volunteers to ensure the revenue goals are met to support the 37 UNCF-member institutions and the students they serve.

Prior to joining UNCF, Miles served as Director of Development at BU Wellness Network. In that role, as the first fundraiser in the organization’s history, she developed a successful fundraising program increasing philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, and corporations. She has also served as Assistant Director of Development at the O’Neill School at IUPUI where she helped their academic unit meet their campaign goal during the Indiana University Bicentennial Campaign.

Ninjia earned her B.A. in sociology from Centenary College of Louisiana and a Master of Public Affairs in Nonprofit Management from the Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University. She also earned a Certificate in Fundraising Management from The Fundraising School at the Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Miles is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Indy Black Millennials and serves on the board of directors at Reach for Youth.
