David F.A. Walker

Prior to joining UNCF, David Walker served as chief development officer at the Institute for Student Achievement in New York; vice president for development at Earth University in Costa Rica; and vice president of major gifts and planned giving for United Way of New York City, one of the largest affiliates in the United States. His extensive development career includes institutions of higher education, having served as New York regional director for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology $750 million “Campaign for the Future” and as director of mail and phonathon at The New School. 

David earned a bachelor of arts degree from Columbia University with a double-major in psychology and French. He is a director and member of the Columbia Alumni Association and serves on the board of Catholic Big Sisters & Big Brothers and the Global Advisory Board of Huairou Commission, a global membership and partnership nonprofit that empowers grassroots women's organizations.
