Ngozi Emenyeonu

Ngozi Emenyeonu (pronounced n-GOH-zee  EH-me-Ñ-yonu) is currently area development director for the New Jersey area office. Prior to joining UNCF, she was a director of annual funds for Link Community School, a private middle school in Newark, NJ, where she led the school’s fundraising efforts of $2.5 million that included two major special events raising $800,000 and $200,000 respectively. Her previous professional experience includes: Independence: A Family of Services and Newark Emergency Services for Families. Emenyeonu is a fundraising professional with a wide range of expertise in non-profit management, fund development, program development and evaluation, board development and management, volunteer coordination and management, and event management and communication strategies.

Emenyeonu considers herself an advocate for causes that diminish inequalities for underserved groups; a major reason she has focused her career in these arenas. She earned a BA in communication studies from Montclair State University.
