Scholarships for March at UNCF
Spring into action, and apply for a UNCF scholarship! Check out these UNCF scholarships and internships currently open for applications, and complete your application before the deadlines. You will not be considered for a scholarship, internship or program until you submit all the information and essays the application requires.
The program is for undergraduate and graduate students to apply for a paid internships starting in June 2020. The students’ resumes should include experience in web development, in Java and Java Script programming languages (for software engineering applicants), or provide information on related projects or internships. Closes March 2.
Boulé Foundation Scholarship
The program will provide annual $4,000 merit-based scholarships to new college freshmen of African American descent attending four-year, accredited, non-profit degree granting colleges and universities of their choice. Closes March 2.
American Honda Foundation Scholarship (California)
The program is for male students of color from Southern California, who are STEM majors. Closes March 9.
The Association of American Publishers (AAP)-UNCF Internship Program is for college juniors and seniors with an interest in pursuing a career in the publishing industry, and whose college experience demonstrates leadership ability and commitment. Closes March 12.
Berbeco Senior Research Fellowship
The program will provide candidates from UNCF-member institutions with the opportunity to complete a structured study abroad experience that can impact their overall education. Closes March 16.
Coca-Cola First Generation Scholarship
The Scholarship provides renewable awards up to $5,000 to students who are first in their families to attend college; open to UNCF-member institutions outside the Atlanta, GA area. Closes March 17.
SAR Family Emergency Scholarship
This need-based program is open to junior (class of 2021) and seniors (class of 2020) at UNCF-member schools who are currently experiencing a financial crisis prohibiting them from graduation or completion of the 2019-2020 academic year. The scholarship will provide an award up to $5,000 depending on the financial need of the student as verified by their university or college. Closes March 18.
EXTENDED: UNCF STEM Scholars Program
The program is an initiative designed to identify and provide scholarship and academic support for high school students interested in STEM degrees and careers in STEM fields. The program awards 100 scholarships annually. Closes April 3.
Fort Worth Independent School District Scholarship (Texas)
The scholarship is open to freshmen at an HBCU, who graduated from a Fort Worth Independent School District high school. Closes March 25.
The NETwork BICP – Lewis Latimer Scholarship
Honor Lewis Latimer, one of the first influential African American inventors, the scholarship is directed towards undergraduate candidates enrolled in the targeted STEM fields at any accredited four-year college or university during the 2019-20 year. Closes March 30.
UNCF-Ralph Lauren Scholarship
The need-based scholarship helps college seniors bridge the financial gap and persist to their college education. This scholarship will be disbursed for the 2019-2020 school year. Closes March 30.
UNCF/Best Buy Scholars Program
High school seniors planning to enroll at an HBCU can receive up to $20,000 (based on need) per year, plus other benefits, renewable annually for four years of undergraduate studies. Closes March 31.

Beverly J. Gilliam Scholarship for Foreign Study
The scholarship offers financial assistance to college juniors and seniors at UNCF-member institutions, who are accepted into recognized summer study abroad programs. Closes April 2.
The Walt Disney Company UNCF Corporate Scholars Program
The program helps create a diverse pipeline of college educated professionals poised to assume fulfilling off-camera careers in entertainment. Closes April 15.
