New Scholarship Application System is Here!

As of October 17, 2022, UNCF has transitioned from its current scholarship application system to a better, stronger, easier system. Here’s what you need to know.

Check out these UNCF scholarships and internships currently open for applications, and complete your application before the deadlines. Look at some of the opportunities UNCF offers high school and college students that can help you get to and through college. Visit any time to see what’s open.


Remember: Complete all steps for the applications!
You will not be considered for a scholarship, internship or program until you submit all the information and essays the application requires.


CBS Sports HBCU Scholarship
The CBS Sports HBCU Scholarship Program provides need-based scholarships to African American college juniors who exemplify strong leadership abilities, and demonstrate an interest in sports, media, or entertainment. Apply by Nov. 7.

BASF/Alfred Chisholm Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is available to undergraduate sophomore, junior and senior students enrolled at HBCUs. Due to the active participation of the BASF’s African American Employees Resource Group (AAEG), their relatives or sponsored students are strongly encouraged to apply. Apply by Nov. 7.

Alfred Street Baptist Church HBCU Scholarship
The Alfred Street Baptist Church will provide 88 need-based scholarships to HBCU college undergraduate and graduate students who express a financial need. Apply by Nov. 7.

The Oracle Corporate Scholars Program provides extended learning experiences at Oracle headquarters during the summer of 2023. The program includes scholarship support for African American, Hispanics or Native Americans pursuing a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Marketing, Legal, Cybersecurity, Product Development or related majors. Apply by Nov. 8.

UNCF National Nissan Scholars
The UNCF/Nissan Scholarship provides scholarship opportunities for 10 college freshman who are enrolled at any HBCU commencing Fall 2022. The scholarship program will provide a total award of $10,000 over four years. Apply by Nov. 8.

The program provides need-based scholarship opportunities to current undergraduate students at accredited four-year institutions for up to $2,000,  distributed during the 2022-23 academic year. Apply by Nov. 10.

Wyndham Career Opportunities
Attention college grads and Master’s degree holders: Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is offering opportunities in legal, marketing and IT fields. Play an integral role in their mission to make hotel travel possible for all and be part of the largest hotel franchise company in the world. Apply by Nov. 10.

The Ruby L. Bailey Scholarship
The Ruby L. Bailey Scholarship has been created to provide one need-based scholarship of $3,000 to a Black undergrad or graduate student who is currently attending an HBCU. Apply by Nov. 15.

4 Texas College students working in laboratoryThe Angela and Reginald Goins Scholarship
The scholarship is a need-based scholarship for full-time, undergraduate students attending a four-year HBCU.  Eligible students must reside in or be a permanent resident of New York City, Chicago, or metro Detroit. Apply by Nov. 17.

UNCF/Old Dominion Scholars Program
The program, sponsored in partnership with Old Dominion Freight Line, Inc., is offering opportunities to full-time juniors majoring in business, logistics, supply chain management, communications, or industrial engineering. Students’ college experience must demonstrate community service, leadership, and analytical ability during their college career. Candidates will be selected to intern for summer 2023. Apply by Nov. 17.

If you have a background in Data Science, Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, Industrial, Computer, Manufacturing, Mining), or Information Technology (Software Development, Computer Science), consider joining the Bayer team. Apply by Nov. 22.

Vertus Hardiman Endowed Scholarship
The scholarship is offering up to $5,000 to students at HBCUs, in the college graduation classes of 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026. Apply by Nov. 30.

Gray Foundation Degree Completion Aid Program
The Foundation is proud to partner with UNCF to support “last-mile” scholarships for low-income students from New York City who are in their senior year at an HBCU and are at risk of stopping out for financial reasons. Apply by Nov. 30.

EA Madden Scholarship Program
The EA Madden Scholarship Program is a scholarship and professional development program that supports the educational growth and career development training of Black/African American students. Apply by Dec. 9.

UNCF General Scholarship Application
The UNCF General Application is used to establish an applicant pool of potentially eligible students for ongoing scholarship opportunities that are unpublished and do not require an online application. Apply by Dec. 21.
