Scholarships for October at UNCF
Even though Halloween is coming, UNCF can help make your financial aid situation a bit less scary. Check out these UNCF scholarships and internships currently open for applications, and complete your application before the deadlines. You will not be considered for a scholarship, internship or program until you submit all the information and essays the application requires.
Honda Corporate Scholars STEM Scholarship
STEM majors at HBCUs may receive up to $5,000. Closes October 5.
The UNCF Black Educators Scholarship Program
The need-based, competitive scholarship program is for education majors who attend full time at a UNCF-member college or university or other accredited four-year HBCU. Closes October 7.
MUFG Union Bank Scholarship Program
Freshmen-Junior students majoring in accounting, banking, business, economics, finance,information technology, or software engineering majors, and who are permanent residents of designated states, may be eligible. Closes October 15.
The program will provide 10 $5,000 need-based scholarships to selected female or non-binary students of African descent, attending qualifying colleges or universities in the U.S. or in Canada. Closes October 15.
Sophomores attending an HBCU, with career aspirations within the automotive industry, may receive up to $7,500. Closes October 26.
The scholarship is for current freshman, sophomores, and juniors who are majoring in communications, computer science, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, life sciences, microbiology, finance, global health, nursing, science technology, or sociology, and who live in designated states. Closes October 28.
Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Scholarship
The program awards one $10,000 scholarship to an exceptional HBCU senior each year who has demonstrated high academic achievement, strong leadership skills, commitment to community service and unmet financial need. Closes October 28.
Montgomery County Scholars Program (Ohio)
The program is open to current college freshmen, who are permanent residents of Montgomery County, OH and who are planning to attend an accredited, U.S. college or university. Closes October 28.
UNCF Numotion Foundation Scholarship
This program seeks to award African American college undergraduate or graduate students who have a mobility-related disability. Closes October 29.
UNCF Budweiser Natalie Johnson Scholarship
The program provides scholarship opportunities to entering college juniors and/or seniors who attend a four-year, accredited HBCU, and who major in a designated field. Closes October 30.
Black Females Moving Forward (BFF) in Computing
In partnership with the Reboot Representation Tech Coalition, the BFF in Computing program will build community and provide academic support for African American women freshmen and sophomores majoring in computing degree programs. Selected participants may be considered for continued academic/professional development support after the program, and an opportunity to compete for a $5,000 scholarship. Closes October 30.
Get a head start on these scholarships
The scholarship supports engineering and business students at accredited 4-year colleges and universities for the 2020-2021 academic year. Closes November 3.
Renee Starks Steed Memorial Scholarship
The program is for Design, Fashion Design, Retail or Retail Management majors who are current sophomores, juniors, or seniors attending an HBCU. Closes November 5.
MetLife Foundation Scholarship Fund
The program provides need-based scholarships to qualified African American juniors who are Accounting, Business or Finance majors at accredited four-year HBCUs. Closes November 16.
