UNCF offers several national and regional scholarships that close in October. Apply today!

Empower Me Tour College Readiness Mid-West Region Merit Scholarship
The Empower Me Tour will be offering 10 one-time, merit scholarships at $2,500 each during the College Readiness virtual event October 15-16. Closes Oct. 8.

Synovus Bank/Calvin Smyre Endowed Scholarship
The program is open to Black students who attend colleges and universities within Synovus’ regional footprint of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina. Closes Oct. 11.

Payden and Rygel Career Opportunities Interest Form
Payden and Rygel, one of the largest privately-owned global investment advisers, will identify eligible applicants for entry level positions in their Los Angeles office. The goal is to secure applicants who are recent graduates interested in the finance asset management industry, regardless of their major. Closes Oct. 14.

American Honda Foundation Scholarship (California)
The program is for male undergraduates of color, studying STEM programs, from specified areas within Southern California. Closes Oct. 14.

Eli Lilly and Company Make Life Better Scholarship Program (Indiana)
The program will provide need-based scholarships to college sophomores in Indiana who are studying STEM-related disciplines, with preference given to  students of color, women, and minority women studying engineering. Closes Oct. 14.

Enterprise Holdings ROAD Forward Scholarship
This need-based assistance is for first-generation (first from your immediate family to attend college) African American high school seniors who plan to attend a UNCF-member institution. Closes Oct. 14.

ADP HBCU Scholarship Program
The program provides need-based scholarship assistance to help reduce financial barriers to college completion for high-potential college students from low- to mid-income families, attending historically black colleges and universities. Closes Oct. 14.

UNCF DeVry University Gateway Scholarship Program
The program is creating a “gateway” to continued learning and to help prepare DeVry University’s students to pursue new career opportunities in the business and technology arenas through certification programs. Closes Oct. 18.

The Walt Disney Company UNCF Corporate Scholarship and Internship Program
The program provides both scholarships and internships to high-achieving African American students across the country, as well as career readiness tools to assist students in achieving their goals in the entertainment industry through experiential learning during an internship with The Walt Disney Company for Summer 2022. Closes Oct 18.

Sprout Social UNCF Scholarship Program
This scholarship is focused on providing merit-based scholarships to college seniors who exemplify strong leadership abilities and demonstrate interest in computer science or software engineering. Scholarship recipients will receive the opportunity to apply and interview for a full-time role at Sprout Social that would start in the summer of 2022. Closes Oct. 20.

JUST ADDED: Papa John’s RISE Internship Program for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
The program creates career pathways for 15 Black HBCU sophomores through seniors students, who will receive an internship opportunity and professional development for potential full-time employment after graduation. Closes Oct. 25.

Richard F. Freeman Scholarship Fund (Michigan)
The fund provides financial assistance for deserving college freshmen from Southeast Michigan. Closes Oct. 26.

Wm. Wrigley Foundation Scholarship
The program is for undergraduates enrolled in UNCF-member schools during the 2021-22 academic year, who are majoring in engineering, business, finance, accounting, chemistry, economics, computer science or marketing. Closes Oct. 28.

UNCF-Ralph Lauren Scholarship
The program assists HBCU seniors in bridging the financial gap to complete their undergraduate college education. Closes Oct. 28.

Bimbo Bakeries Student Professional Development Program
This scholarship and internship is open to African American sophomores studying accounting, business administration, engineering, finance, marketing, mathematics, mechanical engineering, robotics, science, or technology. Closes Oct. 28.

JUST ADDED: UNCF/Best Buy Scholars Program
This program offers up to $20,000 per academic year, renewable for up to two years; a College Success Coach; an Online Learning Community; Early Career Coaching; a space at the UNCF Student Leadership Conference; a Best Buy eMentor; and possible internship opportunities at Best Buy Headquarters in Minneapolis, MN. Eligible students must attend one of the designated HBCUs. Closes Oct. 29.

JUST ADDED: Exelon HBCU Corporate Scholars Program
The program supports African American students attending HBCUs by providing four years of scholarship assistance, summer internship opportunities, and early-career readiness support to prepare for rewarding careers at Exelon and within the energy industry.  Eligible students must be residents of selected areas that Exelon serves. Closes Nov. 1.

NAACP/Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Scholarship
This need-based, renewable scholarship is open to any African American college sophomores enrolled full-time and attending an accredited four-year U.S. college or university.  Closes Nov. 3.

JUST ADDDED: The Ernest E. Just Biomedical Scholars Internship Program
The internship program will support  African American undergraduate and graduate students pursuing careers in biomedical and life science research through research experiences including summer internships at biopharmaceutical companies and leading academic research centers. Closes Nov. 4.

UNCF/Kimberly-Clark Corporate Scholars Program
This scholarship and internship is open to sophomores and juniors from Morehouse College, Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University, whose college experience demonstrates leadership and analytical ability. Closes Nov. 15.

The Wellington Management Foundation Scholarship
The scholarship is open to juniors attending UNCF-member institutions, majoring in finance, economics, business, accounting, computer science, data science, political science, history, or psychology. Closes Nov. 15.

JUST ADDED: UNCF/Best Buy Scholars Program
This generous scholarship and development program is open to any undergraduates. Closes Dec. 6.
