Scholarships for September at UNCF
While you might be learning from home, the scholarships are out there, waiting for you to apply! Check out these UNCF scholarships and internships currently open for applications, and complete your application before the deadlines. You will not be considered for a scholarship, internship or program until you submit all the information and essays the application requires.
Portfolio Project (Pacific Northwest)
The Portfolio Project provides an 11-week introductory boot-camp for the college and scholarship application process to underrepresented students. The Portfolio Project advises high school juniors and seniors how to make appropriate college choices and exposes students in the Pacific Northwest to scholarship opportunities, local colleges and universities, and HBCUs. Closes Sept 4.
Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation Scholarship (Michigan)
The scholarship opportunity is for students from the state of Michigan. Closes Sept. 8.
PSEG Foundation Scholarship (Conn., NJ, NY)
The program is directed towards African American sophomores, who are permanent residents of one of the required states, majoring in one of the listed academic fields. Closes Sept. 15.
Dinwiddie Family Foundation Loan Forgiveness (CA, OK, TX)
Selected African American college graduates who received their first bachelor’s degree in the spring (or summer term) of 2020 will receive a one-time loan forgiveness scholarship of up to $11,000 payable directly to the guarantor. Students must be permanent residents of the required states. Closes Sept. 23.
The Program will provide a total of four scholarships for two students attending Fisk University and two attending Tennessee State University. The awardees will also be offered an internship during the summer of 2021 at Nissan. Closes Sept. 30
UNCF-Ralph Lauren Scholarship
The scholarship assists seniors in bridging the financial gap to complete their undergraduate college education. This scholarship will be disbursed in the fall semester of the 2020-2021 school year. Closes Sept. 30

The UNCF Black Educators Scholarship Program
The need-based, competitive scholarship program is for education majors who attend full time at a UNCF-member college or university or other accredited four-year HBCU. Closes Oct. 7.
