Rob J. Beasley

Rob J. Beasley serves as the Area Development Director for South Florida with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), where he works to raise scholarship support, build community and corporate partnerships, and expand educational opportunities for underrepresented students across Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Southwest Florida.

Born and raised in Milford, Delaware, Rob attended college in Aston, Pennsylvania and is a proud alumnus of Neumann University. With eight years in the nonprofit sector, Rob has focused on creating partnerships that connect philanthropy with purpose. Before entering nonprofit work, he served in academia at Delaware Technical Community College and taught English as a Second Language (ESL) in Taipei, Taiwan—experiences that deepened his appreciation for education and continue to guide his commitment to helping others reach their academic goals.

Prior to joining UNCF, Rob served as Corporate & Foundation Relations Manager for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra (HSO) in downtown Hartford, Connecticut. There, he supported strategies to strengthen corporate engagement, expand grant support, and grow public awareness for the performing arts. He helped champion HSO’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Concert, built relationships with regional and national funders, and supported initiatives that advanced inclusion and accessibility in music.

A committed advocate for the performing arts, Rob serves on the board of the Hartford Jazz Society, one of the nation’s oldest jazz organizations, where he helps elevate local artists and expand community programming. His love for music began in his hometown church, where he sang in the choir and learned the values of community, fellowship, and service principles that continue to shape his work.

Rob has also held roles with The Salvation Army of Broward County, the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, contributing to fundraising campaigns and community outreach programs that support health, wellness, and essential services. Grounded in listening and collaboration, Rob believes storytelling and thoughtful partnership can open doors for students and communities.

Outside of work, he enjoys the performing arts, health and fitness, mentoring young professionals, and encouraging others to give back.
