HBCU Students, Faculty and Staff: Join OZY Fest May 15-16, 2021
UNCF is proud to partner with OZY Media on this year’s OZY Fest in support of HBCUs.
This year’s OZY Fest, which has been described as “TED meets Coachella” and “New York’s answer to SXSW,” will include conversations with Dr. Anthony Fauci, Malcolm Gladwell, Condoleezza Rice, Valerie Jarrett and Adam Grant to name a few. The theme of this year’s festival is “Reset America”—part of a series of OZY programming focused on fundamentally reimagining America’s institutions with racial justice at the core.
In addition, OZY Co-Founder and CEO Carlos Watson will sit with UNCF’s President and CEO Dr. Michael Lomax and some prominent HBCU alumni to speak about how HBCUs have and continue to be a catalyst for change in making our nation stronger and better for all.
In the featured conversation on the first day of OZY Fest 2021, Dr. Lomax and Watson will be joined for a panel entitled “The Future is HBCU” with guests Dr. Roslyn Clark Artis, president of Benedict College; Tope Folarin, author of A Particular Type of Black Man; and Lauren Wesley Wilson, CEO of ColorComm, Inc.
UNCF is the official beneficiary of OZY Fest 2021. We are also grateful that OZY Fest will be providing complimentary tickets to the weekend festivities on May 15 and 16 to all HBCU students, faculty and staff!
