2023 San Antonio Mayor’s Luncheon Recap

The 13th Annual UNCF San Antonio Mayor’s Luncheon raised $183,288 and counting for HBCUs and college students!

The afternoon was full of inspirational moments from outstanding honorees that included Bank of America for its continuous support to UNCF and the San Antonio Community; and Brandon A. Logan, Chief Executive Offer of Urban Capital Partners, Inc. and Seymour Battle III, Senior Vice President Communications, Public Relations, and Engagement at Valero for their conscious community efforts and creatively sharing their stories in the “Living In My Skin” documentary.

Mayor Ron Nirenberg shared the impact of support from UNCF to students in Bexar County and the San Antonio Community. Huston-Tillotson University students networked and mingled with guests during the luncheon and local HT Student and San Antonio native – Gary Wafford – shared how receiving a UNCF scholarship has impacted his experience as a college student at an HBCU. And Huston-Tillotson University’s President – Dr. Melva K. Williams delivered an impassioned greeting on behalf of UNCF Texas Member Colleges.
