Juana Collins
Juana Collins brings more than 20 years of professional fundraising experience to UNCF, raising more than $28 million dollars in the nonprofit sector. Juana has served as area director for South Texas and New Mexico since September 2007.
Juana oversees a staff of three and is responsible for the operations of the local Houston office of UNCF. She is responsible for securing scholarships funds for more than 300 students in Texas including youth from Jack and Jill and Top Teen of America from the greater Houston area who participate in the Youth Gala. Since she started working for UNCF, Juana has raised more than $14 million dollars.
She has served in leadership roles for several nonprofit organizations including the American Heart Association, Zoo Atlanta, the Kimmel Center, New Jersey State Aquarium and PHILADANCO, the Philadelphia Dance Company.
Juana is a member of Windsor Village United Methodist Church, where you will find her every first and second Sunday teaching children. She is also a member of the association of fundraising professionals. In 2014, she was recognized by the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., for her community service and impact. She received her bachelor’s degree in public relations with a minor in business administration from Texas Southern University. A native of Kilgore, TX, Juana is wife to Jarrod Collins, a financial services professional and a proud mother of two sons, Jules and Jaxon.
