The UNCF Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday Celebration honors Dr. King’s enduring legacy of service, leadership and social impact. It brings together individuals and organizations committed to strengthening communities and expanding pathways to opportunity for future generations.

Dr. King believed education was essential to living a free and fulfilling life. Observed nationally as a “day on, not a day off,” Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service reminds us of our shared responsibility to uplift communities, create meaningful change and advance Dr. King’s vision of a Beloved Community—one built on opportunity and service to others.

Every dollar raised helps a student in our community stay in school and finish strong. Because a mind remains a terrible thing to waste, but a wonderful thing to invest in.
