Alia Scott is a Physical Education major from Houston, Texas. At 20 years old, she is Miss National UNCF 2020-2021. In her freshman year, Alia started as Libero for Wiley University Women’s Volleyball team and had the honor of helping her team win the 2018 Red River Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Championships. She was awarded a championship ring. During her campaign for Miss Wiley UNCF her sophomore year, Alia held an event on campus called Paint me Pretty, where she helped raise awareness about UNCF and the scholarships they offer, Students could come to get their makeup done listen to music and eat.
Alia also loves to help her friends and family and believes that her passion for helping others is the reason why she wants to pursue a career in Physical Therapy. Alia is also involved in the UNCF Pre Alumni Council, Wiley Student Government Association, where she served as secretary; she helped plan events on campus and helped organize activities and functions for the student body, Rotaract Club, the Wiley University women’s volleyball team and National Society of Leadership and Success.
Her interests include working out, spending time with close friends, and playing volleyball.
