Kathi Barber is a nonprofit leader with more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and development, driven by a deep commitment to equity and opportunity. Since 2000, she has been a speaker and advocate on health equity, with a focus on infant and maternal health and the systemic disparities affecting Black and Indigenous communities—issues that directly shape educational access, persistence, and student success. Her advocacy work has been featured in The Washington Post, Ebony Magazine, USA Today, and the Chicago Tribune. An author of two books, Kathi brings a holistic, community-centered approach to advancing pathways to college, completion, and lifelong impact.
