​Scott Hamilton

Scott L. Hamilton currently serves as the Area Director of Development for UNCF in Ohio and Northern Kentucky, bringing nearly 25 years of expertise in fundraising and development to the role. Before joining UNCF, he held the position of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Manager at Tucker Ellis LLP, a prominent law firm based in Cleveland, Ohio.

A proud graduate of Cleveland State University, Scott holds an M.A. in Psychology and a certificate in Diversity Management. His commitment to education and community advancement is evident in his previous roles, including Director of Corporate Giving for the MetroHealth Foundation, where he worked with the county hospital system in Northeast Ohio.

Scott’s diverse professional journey includes serving as the Assistant Dean for Advancement and External Affairs at Cleveland State University College of Law, Director of Development for Hanna Perkins—an early childhood emotional development school—and contributing to fundraising initiatives at Kent State University.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Scott actively engages with the cultural arts community of Northeast Ohio. He serves on the board of The Cleveland Play House, a regional theater company, demonstrating his dedication to fostering creativity and cultural enrichment in the region.

Scott also contributes to the field of psychology through his involvement with the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, where he serves on the board. He continues to leverage Gestalt tools and methodologies, which he was introduced to during his master’s program, to enhance his professional and community involvement. Scott’s multifaceted background and commitment to positive change make him a valuable asset to UNCF and the communities he serves.
