Grambling State University
Founded in 1901 in Grambling, Louisiana, Grambling State University (Grambling) provides a diverse array of degree programs, featuring prominent ones in criminal justice, biology, business administration, management, and mass communications.
Southern University and A&M College
Founded in 1880 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Southern University and A&M College (Southern University) is the largest Black college or university in Louisiana. Southern University offers a diverse array of degree programs, featuring prominent ones in agricultural, family and consumer sciences, business, sciences and engineering of government and social sciences, humanities and interdisciplinary studies, and nursing.
Southern University at New Orleans
Founded in 1956 in New Orleans, Louisiana, Southern University at New Orleans (SUNO) is New Orleans’ only public HBCU. SUNO offers a diverse array of degree programs, featuring prominent ones in business, social work and youth services, and psychology.
Southern University at Shreveport
Founded in 1964 in Shreveport, Louisiana, Southern University at Shreveport (SUSLA) is the only HBCU comprehensive community college in Louisiana. SUSLA offers a diverse array of degree programs, featuring prominent ones in nursing, liberal arts and humanities, and dental hygiene.
Southern University Law Center
