UNCF Congratulates Appointees to the President’s Board of Advisors on HBCUs
Today, President Donald J. Trump announced his intent to appoint 13 members to the President’s Board of Advisors on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). While UNCF congratulates everyone appointed to this board, we are especially proud to announce that the appointees below are either presidents of UNCF-member institutions or members of the UNCF Board of Directors.
- Dr. Phyllis Dawkins, President, Bennett College
- Dr. Billy Hawkins, President, Talladega College
- Dr. Ronald Johnson, President, Clark Atlanta University
- Kevin Williams, Vice Chairman, UNCF Board of Directors
Members of the President’s Board of Advisors on HBCUs are responsible for submitting recommendations to the president regarding the participation of HBCUs in federal government programs and informing the Secretary of Education on how to increase the role of the private sector in strengthening HBCUs, among other duties.
