“Receiving a scholarship ignited a spark of hope for not only my future through college and beyond, but a life free from constant financial stress and worry. So, thank you, UNCF.”
Your donations mean more than tuition help to UNCF scholars. Your donations mean helping a student overcome difficult circumstances. Your donations mean giving a lift to students and their families when they encounter a financial roadblock. Your donations mean supporting the next generation of leaders in their pursuit of a college education—and their dreams. These are just a few stories about the impact of your donations to UNCF.
“Because of the scholarship, I don't have to worry about tuition and can focus on being the best student, the best college girl, and the best friend that I can be. And it wouldn't be possible without the UNCF. So, thank you UNCF and thank you Enterprise Holdings for making this dream a reality.”
“Because I have the scholarship, I don't have to work because the UNCF scholarship fills the gap between what my loans and my scholarships cover. As a student who supports herself through college, it's imperative that I have to either work to fill this gap or have scholarships.”
“It has enabled me and empowered me to be able to competently pursue my education. I'm a returning student and an adult learner, knowing that I could rely on these funds made all the difference. I want to say thank you, UNCF, not for just helping me, but helping many students like me across the educational spectrum.”
“This scholarship has helped to ease that financial pressure and allowed me to focus more on my studies and developing my technical skills and because of the opportunities like this I have been able to grow academically and professionally.”
“Because of the support from UNCF and generous donors, I am able to focus more on my education and fully take advantage of the opportunities Spelman provides. One day, I hope to become a physician who not only treats patients, but also advocates for better access and equity in healthcare”
“UNCF has made my goals, ambition and dreams possible because they allow funding to provide me to keep going to school and getting a better education.”
“I've been able to succeed because of the resilience my family instilled in me and opportunities just like this scholarship. Thank you to the Vertus Hardiman Endowed Scholarship committee, UNCF donors and supporters, and the United Negro College Fund for believing in me and investing in my future.”
“Without this program, I don't know where we would be. I am also the UNCF ambassador for Payne College this semester and I look forward to continuously honoring y'all on a regular basis. I thank you. I appreciate you and if not for you, it would have been a little bit harder to get through this semester.”
“I was able to get over $100,000 in scholarships. I am a four-time KIPP HBCU scholar and that scholarship has changed my life. I specifically went to KIPP and I am an alumnae. They have a specific program through UNCF that can help HBCU students get grants and get funding for their matriculation at Spelman.”
“I am very grateful to be a UNCF scholarship recipient. Being able to attend college means a lot to me because it represents opportunity and growth. My education has allowed me to better understand the social and political issues that are affecting our communities today.”
