Alumni Story: Linda McFarland Jennings

Miles College, Class of 2000, Social Work

“I am a proud Magna Cum Laude graduate of Miles College from the class of 2000 and earned a bachelor of social work degree.

“I am presently affiliated with the National Alumni Association as the National President. I always embrace an opportunity to share the enjoyment of my campus experience as a student and the pride that I hold as an alum for my alma mater. Miles College has always been a prestigious institution of higher learning with a rich heritage; not defined by its brick and mortar. It was the leadership of the students-focused administration that made my experience as a student so remarkable as I gained a deep appreciation for my alma mater.

“It was the faculty and staff of this college who made sure the student body remained committed to our educational goals. This approach managed to touch us as students and encouraged many to make Miles a place that we could truly call home. The curriculum, along with the principles taught at Miles College enabled me to realize the importance of staying connected with the college and giving back through the Alumni Association.

“As an alum of Miles College, I will continue my involvement in initiatives designed to promote the growth of the college.”
