UNCF Mourns Passing of Gen. Colin Powell, Former Board Member and Supporter

General Colin Powell, former Joint Chiefs chairman and secretary of state, dedicated his life to making a difference as a politician, diplomat, and retired four-star general. Among his many accomplishments, Powell was committed to supporting HBCUs and helping students across the nation succeed, serving as a UNCF board member.
He will be missed. The UNCF extends our deepest condolences to his wife Alma Powell and the entire Powell family.
