Wilberforce University expands graduate portfolio with new online Master of Science in Project Management
Wilberforce University is proud to announce that it has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) to offer a new online Master of Science in Project Management, marking an important milestone in the University’s continued expansion of graduate education.
The new degree becomes Wilberforce University’s second master’s degree program, joining its longstanding Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling, which has been preparing highly qualified rehabilitation counseling professionals since 2004. The addition of the online Project Management program reflects the University’s strategic commitment to offering graduate programs that address workforce needs while expanding educational opportunities for adult learners and working professionals.
“This approval represents another significant milestone in the continued evolution of Wilberforce University,” said Dr. Vann R. Newkirk, President of Wilberforce University. “Building upon the success of our Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program, the addition of the Master of Science in Project Management demonstrates our commitment to expanding high-quality graduate education that prepares students for leadership in today’s workforce. We are creating new opportunities for professionals to advance their careers while continuing Wilberforce’s historic mission of developing ethical leaders who make meaningful contributions to their communities.”
Dr. Lynda Brown-Wright, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, said the new program represents another important step in strengthening Wilberforce University’s graduate portfolio.
“Our Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling program has established a strong foundation for graduate education at Wilberforce by preparing highly skilled professionals to serve individuals and communities,” says Brown-Wright. “The addition of our online Master of Science in Project Management builds upon that foundation by addressing another critical workforce need. “Effective Project management is essential across virtually every industry, and this program will equip students with the leadership, strategic thinking, and practical expertise needed to successfully lead projects, drive organizational change, and foster innovation in today’s dynamic workplace,” adds Dr. Brown-Wright.
