UNCF Mayor’s Masked Balls and “A Mind Is…” Galas

UNCF raises money through events across the country to support its mission, while at the same time raising awareness among its constituents. The Mayors’ Masked Balls and “A Mind Is…”^® Galas are premier fundraising events that support scholarships to help students go to and through college as well as bolster our member historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

Since its founding in 1944, UNCF has raised more than $6 billion to support students’ access to higher education, provide scholarships and strengthen HBCUs. Each year, UNCF awards more than 11,000 scholarships totaling more than $62 million. The scholarships support students attending more than 600 U.S.-based colleges and universities including the 37 UNCF-member HBCUs.
