Claflin NAACP Hosts Forum for Presidential Candidate (01/20)
On Thursday, January 23, the Claflin University chapter of the NAACP hosted CNN political commentator and NPR political analyst Angela Rye as she recorded a live taping of her podcast, On One with Angela Rye. This episode of the podcast featured Pete Buttigieg, former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, and candidate for the Democratic nomination in the 2020 United States presidential election. Students and community members were able to engage with Rye and Buttigieg during the event, asking questions about education reform, students with disabilities and more.
