Dr. Lomax Included in Atlanta Magazine’s Atlanta 500

Dr. Michael L. Lomax, president and CEO, UNCF, is featured in Atlanta Magazine’s 2026 Atlanta 500. The magazine releases an annual list of 500 of the city’s most powerful and impactful leaders. 

The list spotlights 500 of the top leaders across advocacy, arts, business, education, entertainment, government, healthcare, hospitality, infrastructure, nonprofits, professionals, restaurants, real estate, religion and sports.

Atlanta Magazine highlighted Dr. Lomax’s commitment to higher education. Under his leadership, it shared, UNCF has raised more than $4 billion and helped more than 300,000 students earn college degrees and launch careers. Annually, UNCF’s work enables more than 50,000 students to go to college with UNCF scholarships.

UNCF-member institution Morehouse College boasts 16 alumni in this esteemed group of people who make a difference in Atlanta.
