Dr. Lomax Visits Lomax Success Scholars

Dr. Lomax recently met with the latest class of Michael Lomax Success Scholars. The scholarship, made possible by a $40 million gift from Netflix’s Patty Quillin and Reed Hastings, allows students to graduate debt-free from Morehouse.

Dr. Lomax recently met with recent Michael Lomax Success Scholars and invited the new President, Dr. F. DuBois Bowman, to join. The scholarship, made possible by a $40 million gift from Netflix’s Patty Quillin and Reed Hastings, awards students with full rides to Morehouse.On a recent visit to Morehouse College, Dr. Lomax met with the latest class of Michael Lomax Success Scholars and invited the new President, Dr. F. DuBois Bowman, to join. The scholarship, made possible by a $40 million gift from Netflix’s Patty Quillin and Reed Hastings, awards students with full rides to Morehouse. It will enable dozens of young men to graduate debt-free from Morehouse over the next decade.

Professor Joseph Fuller from Harvard Business School published a case study highlighting Dr. Michael Lomax, president and CEO, UNCF, and the work he has done leading UNCF. Professor Fuller uses this case, published April 8, 2022, in his Management Essentials course and regularly invites Dr. Lomax to visit his course and meet with students when covering the case study.
