Edward Waters College: No SAT, ACT Scores Needed from First-year Student Applicants, due to COVID-19

First-year students applying to Edward Waters College (EWC) for the 2020 Summer or Fall semesters will not be required to provide an SAT or ACT score. The change comes after testing nationwide has been changed due to the concern of the spread of COVID-19. First-year students applying to EWC will be admitted with a sufficiently high GPA. Students will also be required to meet all other admission requirements, including satisfactory completion of the required High School Curriculum and all other requested documentation. “The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has presented a very serious and unprecedented threat to all of our college constituencies, the citizens of Jacksonville, our nation, and our collective global community,” said EWC President and CEO Dr. A. Zachary Faison, Jr. “Accordingly, as part of our commitment to operate as an institution of superlative distinction and Emerging Eminence, it is imperative that our response to this expanding crisis be one that is compassionate, consistent and considerate of every member of our Tiger family, including interested students, and this is yet another way EWC is adapting to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Prospective first-year students must meet all other admission requirements, including satisfactory completion of the Required High School Curriculum and all other requested documentation. EWC enrollment counselors remain available to assist applicants and prospective students via phone at 904.470.8200, email at admissions@ewc.edu, and you can visit the website for more information at www.ewc.edu.
