Three Generations of Dillard University Presidents in Conversation

Tomorrow, August 4, 2026, Dillard University will welcome home two of its own alumni and former presidents for a rare and meaningful gathering: “Three Generations of Dillard University Presidents,” together in conversation.

The event features two former presidents of Dillard University, who both continue to support historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in their work with UNCF: Dr. Michael L. Lomax, president and CEO, UNCF, and Dr. Walter Kimbrough, executive vice president, Research and Member Engagement, UNCF.

Dr. Lomax and Dr. Kimbrough will be joined by Dr. Monique Guillory, Dillard’s current president, for a candid, wide-ranging conversation on leadership, education and the future of Dillard University. They will discuss the state of higher education, the future direction of UNCF and the strategies small, liberal arts institutions like Dillard must embrace to remain strong and relevant in an increasingly uncertain higher education landscape.

The event will be streamed on August 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. ET.
