UNCF Mourns the Passing of Rev. Dr. Calvin O. Butts III

UNCF  is saddened by the news of the passing of legendary New York City pastor, influential leader, and former college president, Rev. Dr. Calvin O. Butts III. Butts, who welcomed generations of worshippers as well as political leaders from across the nation and around the world to Harlem’s landmark Abyssinian Baptist Church, died Friday at age 73.
