2024-2025 Dr. Joseph A. Towles African Study Abroad Scholarship
The Dr. Joseph A. Towles African Study Abroad Scholarship will consider the targeted students at UNCF Institutions, who are approved for their educational semester within the continent of Africa during the 2024-25 academic year. Closes Dec. 5.
2024-2025 Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation Scholarship
The UNCF-Ralph Lauren Corporate Foundation Scholarship provides financial support to Black/African American students who are enrolled full-time as a junior at specific HBCU institutions. Closes Dec. 6.
2024-2025 UNCF Social Justice Scholarship
The 2024-2025 UNCF Social Justice Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship program awarding $5,000 to undergraduate juniors and seniors in New York, New Jersey, Vermont or Connecticut who are committed to social justice. Students majoring in criminal justice, forensic science, political science, criminology, pre-law, or any tract leading to law school will be given preference. Closes Dec. 9.
2025-2026 UNCF K-12 Education Fellowship Summer
The UNCF K-12 Education Fellowship is a leadership and talent development initiative aimed at building a robust pipeline of high-achieving African Americans engaged in education in America. Closes Dec. 9.
2024-2025 UNCF Element Fleet Scholarship
In partnership with UNCF, Element Fleet developed the UNCF Element Fleet Scholarship to provide need-based scholarships to African American college students who are interested in business- and business-related fields. This scholarship opportunity is open to students who are college juniors and seniors in the fall of 2024 with priority given to candidates attending an accredited college or university with a demographic preference. Closes Dec. 12.
2024-2025 UNCF/ City of Miramar Scholarship
This is a need-based scholarship for one (1) student at each of the following schools: Everglades High School, Miramar High School, and Somerset Academy. The students who recently graduated from high school must now be enrolled at a college or university for the current 2024-2025 school year. Closes Dec. 12.
2024-2025 The Walter B. Jones, Jr. Scholars Program
The Walter B. Jones, Jr. Scholars Program is a need-based scholarships for first-year freshman students who are enrolled full-time at any UNCF member institution, other Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), or any accredited, four-year institution for the 2024-2025 academic year. Eligible applicants must be Northeast Ohio residents. Closes Dec. 12.
2024-2025 BD Scholarship
The BD Scholarship is a merit program open to current juniors and seniors who are enrolled full-time at any UNCF member institutions, other HBCUs, or any accredited four-year college or university during the 2024-2025 academic year. Closes Dec. 18.
2024-2025 Elaine B. Hancock Endowed Scholarship
The 2024-2025 Elaine B. Hancock Endowed Scholarship is open to African-American students at UNCF member institutions and/or Howard University. Closes Dec. 19.
2024-2025 WE Communications Scholarship
This need-based program will fund students who are permanent residents of the states of Washington & Oregon who are enrolled in an accredited HBCU during the 2024-2025 school year. And eligible candidates must be interested in pursing a career in Communications. Closes Dec. 19.
2024-2025 Capture the Culture Photo Contest Scholarship
We are thrilled to introduce the UNCF 80th Anniversary “Capture the Culture” Photo Contest Scholarship for students at our esteemed UNCF member schools. In celebration of UNCF’s remarkable legacy and the unique experiences at each HBCU, this contest invites students to capture and share the spirit, beauty, and pride of HBCU life through photography. Closes Dec. 20.
2024-2025 Renee Starks Steed Memorial Scholarship
The Renee Starks Steed Memorial Scholarship is open to current sophomores, juniors, or seniors, who attend an HBCU (Historically Black College or University) and major in fashion, fashion marketing, textile, and apparel design, or a similar area of study. This is a need-based scholarship that will be awarded during the 2024-2025 academic year. Closes Dec. 20.
2024-2025 Colgate-Palmolive X UNCF Inspire Our Future Scholars Program
The Colgate-Palmolive X UNCF Inspire Our Future Scholars Program will provide financial support to students who are enrolled full-time at any U.S. located, accredited four-year college or university and classified as a sophomore when applying for the scholarship. The Program will provide a renewable, need-based, scholarship of up to $5,000 during the 2024-2025 school year, up to $7,000 during the 2025-2026 school year, and up to $8,000 during the 2026-2027 school year. Closes Dec. 27.

HBCU Sustainable Communities Initiative Summer Internships
HBCU/SCI is accepting applications for paid summer internships for students in sustainability-related fields, offering experiential learning opportunities and real-world experiences. Paid internships are open to sophomores, juniors and seniors from varying majors at participating institutions. Closes April 2025.
