The 9th Annual Pee Dee Area UNCF Mayors’ Masked Ball is a premier fundraising gala and major social event focusing on raising awareness of the need and benefits of a college education, the students UNCF serves and the contributions of historically black colleges and universities. Hosted by a diverse group of corporate sponsors, local businesses and professional organizations, the Pee Dee Area UNCF Mayors’ Masked Ball is an evening of celebration attended by civic leaders, alumni, dignitaries, volunteers and friends of UNCF. This must-attend event is full of fun, fashion and glamour, and supports UNCF’s mission of investing in Better Futures® for the young men and women we serve by helping them move to and through college.

UNCF (United Negro College Fund) is the nation’s largest and most effective minority education organization. To serve youth, the community and the nation, UNCF supports students’ education and development through scholarships and other programs, supports and strengthens its 37 member colleges and universities, and advocates for the importance of minority education and college readiness.

While totaling only 3% of all colleges and universities, UNCF institutions and other historically Black colleges and universities are highly effective, awarding 15% of bachelor’s degrees, 5% of master’s degrees, 10% of doctoral degrees and 19% of all STEM degrees earned by Black students in higher education. Today, UNCF supports more than 50,000 students at over 1,100 colleges and universities across the country.

The annual UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball Atlanta is a premier fundraising gala and major social event focusing on raising awareness of the need and benefits of a college education, the students UNCF serves and the contributions of historically Black colleges and universities.

Hosted by a diverse group of corporate sponsors, local businesses and professional organizations the Mayor’s Masked Ball Atlanta is an evening of celebration attended by national celebrities, civic leaders, alumni, dignitaries, volunteers and friends of UNCF.

Celebrating the 40th year anniversary, this must-attend event is full of fun, fashion, glitz and glamour all to dedicated to support UNCF’s mission of investing in better futures for the young men and women we serve and by helping them move to and through college.

The 32nd Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Brunch will kick-off UNCF’s 80th Anniversary celebration.  Join us as we commemorate one of our most famous alumni, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (Morehouse College 1948). The Brunch is an opportunity for the UNCF Michigan office and the Detroit Inter-Alumni Council (DIAC) to honor Dr. King’s legacy and this monumental moment in UNCF’s history.

The Greater Washington Area Office of UNCF (United Negro College Fund) will hosts its 41st annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. birthday celebration. For four decades, this event has celebrated the life and achievements of civil rights icon Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Morehouse College graduate of the class of 1948.

These prestigious alumni awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to their alma mater, their community and/or UNCF. Each school submits the name of one alumnus for the Hall of Honor (Outstanding Alumni Award) and one alumnus for the Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

These awards will be presented during UNCF NAC Legacy Gala, Friday, February 23, 2024 at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville-Riverfront.
