The funds raised will help ensure more students have access to a life-changing college education and the pathways to realize their fullest potential.

Since its founding in 1944, UNCF has assisted more than 550,000 young men and women in attaining their college degrees. We are the nation’s largest and most effective organization dedicated to supporting historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and ensuring first-generation college students persist and achieve a college education.

Our 81st anniversary theme, “From Promise to Prosperity: UNCF Lights the Way,” reflects our mission to turn educational commitments into community-wide prosperity. We support students through scholarships and internship programs, strengthen our 37 member colleges and universities, and advocate for an equitable education for all.

This annual event is crucial for raising awareness and funds to support the mission of UNCF). For over 82 years, UNCF has been committed to providing scholarships, internships, fellowships, and other vital resources to help students attend and graduate from college, particularly those attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
