UNCF seeks your sponsorship support for the 2025 Northwest Indiana Mayor’s Breakfast.

Net proceeds from this fundraising event will support UNCF’s education mission and help break the financial barriers that prevent so many talented students from earning a college degree.

Our request is in line with your company’s commitment to increasing educational opportunities for minority students in our community. UNCF-member colleges graduate more of their African American students than other private colleges or public universities and their low tuition rates are less than half those charged by other private colleges.

Because college graduates earn higher incomes than non-graduates, your sponsorship will be an investment in the future teachers, business leaders, engineers, physicians, and other professionals who will graduate from UNCF-member colleges to become productive participants in their communities and in the U.S. economy.

Event Background

The Northwest Indiana Mayor’s Breakfast is hosted by the UNCF Northwest Indiana Leadership Council. Since 2007, UNCF’s Northwest Indiana Leadership Council has awarded over 75 scholarships and raised over $250,000 in funding to get students to and through college. The Northwest Indiana Scholarship Program’s immediate aim is to identify and reward outstanding area students that are seeking higher education and meaningful careers but need financial support to begin and sustain their educational journeys. This is the fourth annual Northwest Indiana Mayor’s Breakfast benefiting UNCF. The breakfast will feature greetings from the Honorable Mayor Eddie Melton, who is dedicated to working to diversify the workforce and promote education equality. Mayor Melton is committed to helping support UNCF and its mission of getting students to and through college.

UNCF – the United Negro College Fund – seeks your sponsorship support for the 2025 DMV (DC, MD and Northern VA) Leaders’ Breakfast. Net proceeds from this fundraising event will support UNCF’s mission: To build a robust and nationally recognized pipeline of underrepresented students, who, because of UNCF support, become highly qualified college graduates and to ensure that our network of member institutions is a respected model of best practices in moving students to and through college.

In honor of the 80th anniversary of the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), we are pleased to introduce the 13th annual Columbus Mayor’s Luncheon. This gathering will bring together more than 500 civic and business leaders, education professionals and guests from across Ohio, all with the common goal of lifting up our community.

The 2025 Mayor’s Luncheon offers vital financial support and raises awareness for UNCF’s mission. UNCF plays a crucial role in positively transforming lives by expanding access to a college education for students from underrepresented communities — serving as a gateway to fulfilling careers, active citizenship and a spirit of service.

Over the past 80 years, UNCF has successfully guided students, primarily from households earning less than $43,000 per year, through graduation. With $100 million dedicated to scholarships, these students can attend over 1,100 schools nationwide, including a notable network of 37 Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). This enables them to concentrate on their education without the burden of financial constraints.

Despite UNCF’s significant achievements, there is still much work to be done. We remain devoted to creating opportunities for more students from similar economic backgrounds to access higher education. As a valued member of our community, we invite you to join us in this noble mission. This premier fundraising and social event focuses on raising awareness of the need and benefits of a college education, the students UNCF serves and the contributions of historically Black colleges and universities. The proceeds from the event will go towards supporting UNCF and its mission to provide assistance to deserving minority students in North Texas.

These prestigious alumni awards recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to their alma mater, their community and/or UNCF. Each school submits the name of one alumnus for the Hall of Honor (Outstanding Alumni Award) and one alumnus for the Outstanding Young Alumni Award.

These awards will be presented during UNCF NAC Legacy Gala, Friday, February 21, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom at the Renasant Convention Center.

Hosted by a diverse group of corporate sponsors, local businesses, and professional organizations, the inaugural UNCF Orlando Mayor’s Masked Ball is an evening of celebration attended by civic leaders, alumni, dignitaries, volunteers, and friends of UNCF.

The 4th Jacksonville UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball is a premier fundraising gala and major social event focusing on raising awareness of the need and benefits of a college education, the students UNCF serves and the contributions of historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), including Jacksonville’s very own Edward Waters University—Florida’s first HBCU and first independent institution of higher education.

Hosted by a diverse group of corporate sponsors, local businesses and professional organizations, the Jacksonville UNCF Mayor’s Masked Ball, is an evening of celebration attended by civic leaders, alumni, dignitaries, volunteers and friends of UNCF and EWU. This must-attend event is full of fun, fashion, glitz and glamour, and supports UNCF’s mission of investing in Better Futures® for the young men and women we serve and by helping them move to and through college.
