2026-2027 Michael L. Lomax Endowed Scholarship
The Michael L. Lomax Endowed Scholarship program has been established by Tench and Simone Coxe in honor of Dr. Michael L. Lomax, President and CEO of UNCF, in partnership with UNCF. The scholarship program is designed to provide scholarship support to deserving students attending one of the 37 UNCF member institutions. Closes June 1.
2026-2027 William L. & Mary Ann Brown STEM Endowment Scholarship Program
The Brown STEM Endowed Scholarship Program was established by William L. and Mary Ann Brown to provide need-based scholarship support to seniors graduating from a high school in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, enrolled at a UNCF member institution, four-year HBCUs, and four-year institutions. Closes June 1.
2026-2027 Associates Scholars Empowerment Program
The Associates Scholars Empowerment Program is a renewable need-based scholarship open to students receiving certificates and two-year degrees. Preferences will be given to students attending one of the nation’s two-year Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) or Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs). To apply, you must be a student enrolled full-time or part-time at an accredited U.S. based, two-year degree granting institution or an accredited, UNCF approved, certificate granting program in the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants must also have a minimum 2.25 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or show completion of a GED. Closes June 8.

2026-2027 Future Teachers of Excellence Fellowship
In partnership with the Center for Black Educator Development, UNCF presents The Future Teachers of Excellence Fellowship. The Fellowship provides merit-based undergraduate scholarships, professional development stipends, and wrap-around support services to assist students with earning a bachelor’s degree and pursuing a career in K-12 education. Closes June 8.
2026-2027 HBCU Scholars Empowerment Program
The HBCU Scholars Empowerment Program is a renewable need-based scholarship open to students receiving four-year degrees at Predominantly Black Institutions* (PBIs) and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). To apply you must be a student admitted to or enrolled as a full-time college student at an accredited U.S. located, four-year PBI or HBCU in the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 GPA (on a 4.0 scale) or show completion of a GED. Closes June 8.
